Our history is significant and unique

The Spokane Valley History Museum was founded in 2002. In 2004, it acquired the historic Opportunity Township Hall on East Sprague, where it has continued to grow and develop its wide-ranging opportunities to engage with history.

We have cataloged more than 160 years of artifacts, archives, photos, maps, and other documents.

Mission Statement

To collect, preserve and share the history and culture of the Spokane Valley and surrounding region. To engage and inspire the community to connect with cultural opportunities thereby instilling a sense of belonging.
