Spokane Valley Heritage Museum is home to a rich and varied collection of published works and source materials about our region’s history. Our collection includes books, maps, plat books, newspapers, architectural drawings, oral histories and more.

- Spokane Valley Herald Newspaper, 1920-83 (digitized)
- Oral histories, written and audio recordings
- School records beginning in 1892 and including teacher reports, one-room schoolhouse districts, articles and more

- Valley of the Sun series by Waldo Rosebush

- Northern Pacific Railway employee records, 1900-1910
All archival materials are available for your research. The museum staff is ready to help with research requests. For extensive research requests, we charge a $25 flat fee which includes any documents or images discovered.
Take it home
You do not have to write it all down. We can make photocopies and reproductions of your research. See schedule below for fees. Spokane Valley Heritage Museum is a non-profit that receives no direct government funding. Reproduction fees offset the cost of maintaining our collection.
